The Forgotten Creation
Long ago, in a forgotten corner of Talmuth, a lonely toymaker lived, known for crafting intricate wooden marionettes and enchanted figures. Obsessed with the idea of creating life, he began experimenting with ancient, forbidden magic. His dream was to bring to life a companion that could move, think, and even feel.
He started with humble materials: wooden boxes that he had lying around his workshop. He fitted them together, forming a bipedal creature with a small box for its head, a large one for its torso, and smaller crates for its limbs. Once the figure was complete, the toymaker used the last of his magical energy, infusing the creation with a powerful soul-binding spell. And then, Jack in the Box was born.
But Jack wasn’t quite what the toymaker expected. While animated and intelligent, the creature had no memory or sense of purpose. It wandered the streets of Talmuth, confused and out of place. Its creaky wooden frame startled villagers, and the constant popping of its head’s lid made it an eerie sight.
Fearing what he had unleashed, the toymaker tried to undo his work, but Jack resisted. Over the years, the creature found a new purpose—uncovering relics and treasures lost to time. Jack became a relic itself—a living creation of wood and magic, cursed with a life it never asked for.
Now, those who find Jack in the Box can unlock its power, adopting the appearance of this bizarre wooden enigma. But beware, for the echo of the toymaker’s magic still lingers within, and Jack’s curious spirit may live on in those who don his form. Woven by a secretive order of stormcallers known as the Aetherweavers, this cape crackles with the tension of a sky moments before it breaks. Its silken threads, pulled from the webs of the elusive Velora, a lightning-born spider said to nest among the highest thunderclouds, shimmer with residual volts that dance across the fabric in branching arcs.
Wearing the Thunderweave Cape is said to blur the line between the storm and the soul. It doesn't just protect the wearer, it connects them to the pulse of the sky itself.
A symbol of precision, patience, and power, much like the lightning strike and the spider’s web alike. +5% damage, +5% Attack SpeedThis striking dagger has been called many names throughout it's history. Whether it's the karma crusader, the butcher of man, or slayer of kings, it's origins cannot be denied; it's the Ironfang.
Considered to be the single most desired piece of weaponry among elite assassins, this masterfully forged blade was specifically designed with quickness in mind. Discrete, aerodynamic, and light as a feather, some have called the Ironfang, absolute perfection.
Nothing cuts like a diamond, and the creator of the Ironfang knew this very well, which is why he made sure to incorporate them into his design. By encrusting diamond shards onto the edges of this dual-bladed masterpiece, not only did the Ironfang become one of the sharpest daggers in the world, but it's durability also increased tremendously.
With Qualities this superb, it's no wonder everybody's on the hunt to obtain one of their own!+10% chance to BurnBefore Sentinel Erridrus opened his college in the north of Evanbrook, a young Fisda Zern managed to obtain an exclusive apprenticeship with the Sentinel. Having studied previously at the Arcane University, Fisda desired to continue his studies and the Sentinel, aware of Zern's enthusiasm, was more than happy to take him under his wing. After several years of lectures, demonstrations and trials, Zern was given several bows by the Sentinel to be used in a final assessment of his capabilities. His assignment was to imbue the bows with a perpetual flame which could expel bolts of fire, surpassing the need for a quiver of arrows. After an initial mishap, Fisda Zern was able to achieve his objective using some special Remnant stones he had 'acquired' from the Arcane University. The result was stunning with Sentinel Erridrus putting the bows to the test on all manner of valuable wooden items, watching them burn with much amusement. After 'assessing' the bows, now shrouded in an incandescent red flame, the Sentinel knew the time had come for his student.
"I can no longer know you as 'Adept Zern'" said the Sentinel sternly. "You shall now be known unto me as 'Master Zern'. You have passed my final test!" said the Sentinel, his smile beaming through his long white beard.
It is not certain how many bows were made but both of the arcane practitioners dubbed them 'Reign of Fire'. Fisda Zern was given a handful of the bows by Sentinel Erridrus who kept one for himself and sold the rest for a great sum of money, allowing him to build his college for other students interested in learning the art of the arcane. It has been said that the Sentinel can still occasionally be seen on the Erridrus college grounds, burning wooden furniture with his beloved bow! +100 health and +1200 energyOnce present throughout most lands, this versatile red pumpkin was a staple across a multitude of cultural cuisines until it was reduced to the verge of extinction after a disease they called the 'Rot Blight' became prevalent during the fifth era.
Though the disease seems to have vanished long ago, it is comparatively somewhat of a scarcity in this day and age.
Despite this, the Gradeim Pumpkin is still heralded as an iconic 'table vegetable', symbolic of a well-stocked and homely abode.
This vegetable's vitality-boosting properties are well known and are included, every so often, in the diets of those wealthy enough to afford them.5 uses per Adventure+25% Weapon Damage against undead monstersAlso known as the manual of the undead, the Terror Tome is said to have once been Darthrauka's only true fear; a chronicle of ungodly spells, and secrets, carefully crafted to oppose his very will.
