Lance Livingstone

The Livingstone family collected treasures. Lance wanted to be the first to find one.

His first expedition ended beneath a collapsed temple, pinned beside the shattered remains of its stone guardian. Desperate, he pressed the guardian's glowing heart into his wounded hand.

The stone stirred. So did Lance.

He returned home without his hired expedition, carrying an arm that could break granite, and a pulse beneath his skin that wasn't entirely his own. Now he searches the ruins his ancestors only paid others to enter, hoping to learn what he awakened before it claims the rest of him.

His family calls it a curse. Lance prefers "an acquisition".
