Oathkeeper

Naralf set out, swearing an oath to his beloved that no matter what happened, he would return after visiting his dying father.

Completing the journey, he spent some time with his father before he passed.

Grieved, Naralf was returning home when he was attacked by a bear.

With his longsword, Naralf killed the bear but sustained mortal wounds.

A merchant with a wagon found Naralf and offered to take him home.

His sword clutched in his hands, Naralf died just as they arrived at his home...
