When it comes to making everything from dark furniture to rugged fishing rods, Nightwood, named after its dark color, is usually the choice material that a woodsmith will go with.

This soft timber is easy to cut and is rather flexible making it a pleasurable resource to craft with. It is still a common joke amongst woodsmiths to tell their young and gullible apprentices that this timber can only be harvested at night!
