Misfortune's Guardian

As soon as the old man left his house, Gardy snuck in and found the old man's ill hidden chest.

Not noticing the hefty broadsword set on the wall above him, Gardy chuckled to himself 'Something heavy in the chest!'.

As Gardy was taking a short staff out of the box, the staff's end clipped the large sword which fell upon him and pierced him through the torso.

In his last moments, Gardy recalled the words he'd chuckled to himself only moments earlier...
