The cave flickered with the light of a dying fire, embers crackling beneath a blackened pot of spiced rum. The stone walls echoed with distant thunder, but inside, it was the silence between them that charged the air.
Varek Bloodtide stood near the mouth of the cave, one boot resting on a fallen cannon. His coat was damp with sea spray, and blood, never his own, freckled the golden trim of his sleeve. He stared out at the cove, where the Obsidian Wyrm rocked gently in its anchor.
Behind him, Scarlet Maelra leaned against a jagged rock, cleaning her curved dagger with a torn velvet ribbon. It had once been part of a duchess’s gown, now stained with darker things.
"You were late," she said, voice smooth as aged brandy. "I counted fifteen stars before I saw your sails."
Varek didn’t turn. "And yet here I am. With the Stormcaller’s head in a sack."
She smirked. "That head was meant to buy us safe passage through En’Skold."
"I’ve never been fond of buying things I can take."
He finally turned, and for a breath, the air between them tightened like drawn steel. Maelra stepped forward, dagger now dangling casually from her belt.
"You’re lucky I love you more than I love gold," she said, reaching up to trace the edge of the scar that cut through his beard. "But only just."
"And you," he said, catching her wrist, not gently. "You’re lucky I find treachery so damn attractive."
They stood like that, dangerous and defiant, absolutely tethered to one another by something darker than love. Firelight danced across their coats, crimson and gold gleaming like the final warning before a powder keg’s roar.
Outside, the storm finally broke.
After Moltarus took plenty of beatings, it’s time to buckle up and prepare for the newest challenge: Stormweaver.
As mentioned in the release blog for Expedition: Emberfall, we’ve taken player feedback into account and tweaked mechanics where we felt it was necessary.
Everything beyond this list is new!
Three powerful legends have arrived, each with a past wrapped in mystery, fire, and blood. Whether you’re striking fear into the hearts of your enemies or stepping into the role of a fallen hero, these new outfits will transform your presence in Lunaria.
Forged in flame and bound by conquest, Emberlord Varnox once ruled the smoldering peaks of the Emberfall Isles. Cloaked in seared obsidian and molten gold, his very footsteps leave scorch marks in the dirt. Those who cross him rarely survive the heat. Equip this outfit to command with fury and fire.
Graceful, ruthless, and unrelenting. Scarlet Maelra isn’t just a pirate queen, she’s a force of nature. Dressed in windswept elegance with blades to match, she commands the storm and the hearts of those who dare follow her. This outfit is perfect for players who prefer style with a deadly edge.
Whispers follow his sails, and the seas remember his name. Varek Bloodtide is a terror of the deep, cloaked in salt-stained crimson and storm-worn gold. This outfit calls back to the pirate lord who carved his empire one raid at a time, dragging legends beneath the waves with him.
You’ll find all three outfits in the Shop, ready for those bold enough to wear their story.
150 Valorbound Chests are now available in the shop!
Each chest contains 3 x Colossalstrike Elixir, 1 x Thunderweave Cape, a chance at 1 of 3 new titles (Shed No More, Shed Happens, and Shed or Alive), and a chance at 1 of 3 new House Cosmetics (Oakshade Lodge (Legendary), Duskwatch Estate (Mythical), Velarith Castle(Transcendent)). Don't miss your chance to claim these powerful rewards!
In the previous Expedition, many players found it difficult to gather enough Arcane Fragments or Flame Crystals due to RNG. For this round, we’ve taken a new approach. Velora, a fierce new foe, now anchors our Weekly Goals system, providing clear, guaranteed rewards for those brave enough to face her.
The cap on Waygate Orbs has been raised to 1500, giving players more freedom and flexibility in their grind. Velora no longer drops Valor Tokens directly, instead, she now has a chance to drop Arcane Fragments!
We’ve also added a variety of new Weekly Goals beyond Velora. These offer guaranteed Arcane Fragments and other valuable rewards, don’t miss them!
Unlike other web3 games that rely on self-created tokens to reward players, our approach is different. Instead of minting and inflating a custom currency, we use actual trade fees to support the game's ecosystem and its community. This keeps the system grounded in real player activity and economic flow.
Twenty-five percent of all existing trade fees (which are set at eight percent) are already being allocated to the Ecosystem Pool. And now this pool is divided into three sections:
The Reward Pool and the Content Creator Support System are distributed weekly, resetting at the end of each cycle.
Note: Trade volume may vary from week to week, especially when Transcendent items are bought or sold. As a result, the total rewards in the pool can fluctuate based on weekly player activity.
The Reward Pool is part of the latest Valor Expedition and is divided into two parts: the Journey Pool and the Grand Pool.
Once a player reaches Tier 5 in the Valor Expedition, they become eligible to earn Enjin Coins from the Journey Pool, starting with a base modifier of 1.
Players can increase their modifier during the Expedition in two ways:
The higher a player's modifier, the greater their share of the current Journey Pool or the final Grand Pool.
Modifiers can be increased up to 5.8 by earning all available Valor XP in the Expedition. Players can gain an additional 6.0 modifier by using Valor Orbs for Boosts. The highest possible modifier for a single Expedition is 11.8.
Note: It is possible for a player to have a higher modifier than the previous week but still receive fewer rewards. This can happen based on two factors:
Players can apply up to 10 boosts during an Expedition to increase their modifier. Each boost adds 0.6 to the modifier and costs 3 Valor Orbs.
Valor Orbs used for boosting are consumed permanently. If you reset your Talents, you will not recover the spent Orbs. To boost again, you must re-earn Valor Orbs by completing Valor Expedition Tiers.
Note: Boosting can be done at any time. Each boost requires 3 Valor Orbs.
This Expedition, the Grand Pool will also receive an extra 10,000 ENJ as a bonus.
The Journey Pool is a smaller, recurring pool designed to distribute Enjin Coins to qualifying players on a weekly basis. At the end of the Expedition, the Grand Pool will be distributed among all eligible players.
Players can view the current Enjin total in both pools directly in-game, along with their earned weekly share and their projected share of the Grand Pool.
With the introduction of the boost mechanic, Valor Orbs now serve two main purposes:
Let’s take a closer look at each use case and how they work.
Players can allocate up to 68 Valor Orbs toward their Talents. Once this cap is reached, no additional Talent points can be unlocked. Players may reset their Talents at any time to reassign the Orbs and better suit their preferred playstyle.
As described in the Reward Pool system, up to 30 Valor Orbs can be used to activate Boosts that increase a player's modifier. This means the maximum number of Valor Orbs a player can hold is 98, broken down as follows:
Once the cap of 98 is reached, players will no longer earn additional Valor Orbs, even if they continue progressing in the Expedition. To avoid hitting the limit, use your Orbs regularly to purchase Boosts and stay eligible for further rewards.
Note: Valor Orbs used for Boosts are permanently consumed. They cannot be recovered or reassigned to Talents.
Hover over the Rewards tab to view the latest tier rewards. You may notice a key change this time around, there are no direct weapon rewards. In fact, only one reward has the potential to grant you a weapon.
Since the first Expedition, we’ve introduced Primeforge Shards, which are used to upgrade weapons. If you missed the original Discord announcement, here’s a quick summary:
Arcane Fragments can now appear in the Mythical and Transcendent tiers. While we try not to overpromise future features, we understand players want clarity when choosing their reward paths.
Here’s our current vision, although it is still subject to change:
At Tier 17, you will earn a token. This token can be exchanged for one of the following:
We’ll continue providing updates as the upgrade systems evolve, so you can make informed decisions about which reward path to follow.
If you activated the previous Valor Expedition: Emberfall, you’ve been airdropped a special bonus blockchain painting titled Moltarus Awakens. It’s waiting for you in your stash and can be proudly displayed on the wall of your house!
We explored many options for supporting content creators and decided on a straightforward system to assist those promoting Lost Relics.
Alongside this system, we’ve fully automated our Discord content creator process. Once you connect your Twitch or YouTube account and meet the requirements, you'll automatically receive the Content Creator role in Discord. If you no longer qualify, the role will be removed.
Note: This means that we will also remove the content creator role in Discord from all players at the start of the update. The system will add you back if you meet the requirements. It might be an idea to disconnect and reconnect your account if it hasn't recognised you as a Content Creator yet.
We’ve also set up a Content Creator Fund. A portion of the Ecosystem Pool is allocated to this fund and distributed weekly as Enjin Gems to all eligible Content Creators.
To receive your share, follow these three steps:
To be recognized as an official Content Creator:
To qualify for weekly payouts, you must:
All active members can boost one Content Creator at a time. Only those who receive boosts will earn a share of the pool. The more boosts you receive, the larger your share, similar to how the Expedition Reward Pool works.
Players can Boost a Creator from the Royal Emporium window. Got some ideas for a better location, let us know in the suggestions!
Once you meet the requirements for a Content Creator, the window will update to show your current share, boost counts, and allow you to Announce your content.
Upon clicking the Send Announcement button, the system will detect if you're streaming, or if you've uploaded a video. Be sure to go live on your accounts before you use this announcement, otherwise it won't be able to detect your content.
If you're streaming or uploading videos on YouTube, be sure to put Lost Relics in the Title, Description, or Tags, otherwise your Announcement won't work. It's also a good idea to specify Lost Relics as the game you're streaming.
If you're streaming on Twitch, be sure to select Lost Relics as the game you're streaming, otherwise your Announcement won't work. It's also a good idea to include Lost Relics in your stream title. (Make sure you have 'Store past broadcasts enabled')
If you've uploaded a video on YouTube, the system will pick your last uploaded video that is marked with Lost Relics in the Title, Description, or Tags.
Currently, we only support Twitch and YouTube. This is due to low usage of other platforms or lack of integration support. If you know of a platform we should consider, please share it in our Discord suggestions channel.
Happy creating, and thank you for helping grow the world of Lost Relics!
With many thanks and kudos to DrLoot for designing our previous awesome introduction questline for new players, we’ve finally had the chance to expand it into a more advanced intro sequence. This was always part of the vision, and now it’s ready.
New players will now begin their journey in a graveyard and encounter Darthrauka (voiced by Nick Nightshade!). They’ll choose a weapon, fight their way forward, and eventually step into the bold and dangerous lands of Lunaria. After arriving, they’ll complete a few follow-up quests. The goal is simple: get players into combat right away. Fight beasts, grab loot, that’s the spirit of adventure, after all.
We want all existing players to go through this new sequence too. That’s why everyone will spawn from the same starting location. Don’t worry, your gear and levels will remain unchanged. This part is just about the experience.
Well, not just the experience. You’ll also get to choose your starting weapon type. So choose wisely.
We’ve also laid the groundwork for the future. Some of you may start to connect the dots during and after the experience. We’ll confirm the bigger picture when the time is right.
Note: The introduction quests have been updated, but players above level 2 will not see them. They are similar to what you may have experienced before, but now refined and better tuned for new players.
Players (with a focus on those new to the game) will now find Enjin Gems only in common adventures. This change is designed to help newer players acquire blockchain items through the Emporium, giving them a solid starting point as they prepare for the jump into uncommon adventures.
Once players reach the uncommon tier, Arcane Fragments will become the next step in strengthening their loadout, helping them progress through higher-tier challenges with more confidence and better equipment.
New players and non-members can now retrieve one blockchain item from an adventure. This change, along with the other updates, is intended to improve how new players experience the game and make their early journey more rewarding. This change is possible again, now that we have new items such as Arcane Fragments to drop.
To help maintain balance and discourage farming, the Enjin withdrawals Champion Reward is now restricted to members only.
Many long-time players remember the grind. You had to reach level 50 just to unlock stash deposits, walk across town without a morph to reach production stations, and mostly craft using common or uncommon items. It was a long walk. A real grind.
But times have changed. We’ve added morphs, player housing, secret stashes, loadouts, the Inverdhen production square, and more. With this update, we’ve re-evaluated the grind, life, and the universe:
As for the Secret Stash, well, we’ve hidden it really well. So well that you’ll never find it again. But don’t worry, we safely moved all your items back into your regular stash.
If you’ve unlocked your Talmuth Home, you can now enter it. Inside, you’ll find plenty of wall and floor space to decorate with cosmetics and weapons however you like.
But that’s not all.
You’ll also find production stations inside your home. (Forging remains outdoors, after all, it gets way too hot to run a forge indoors.) This helps reduce walking for those who enjoy the convenience of crafting in their own space.
Because of this, we’re retiring the production square in Inverdhen. If you previously unlocked production stations there, you’ll receive 6 Arcane Fragments (E) per station as a refund.
This patch introduces unique house cosmetics, not for the interior, but for the exterior of your home. Every player now starts with a small but cozy shed as their base house.
Dreaming of a lodge, mansion, or towering castle? Now’s your chance. Pick up one of the 150 Valorbound Chests from the Shop and, with a bit of luck, unlock the home you’ve always wanted.
Note: These items are all blockchain and limited in supply. For example, there will never be more than 20 Velarith Castles in the game.
You read that right. The circle is round. We’re back to square one. Playing without ammo brings back a more arcade-like feel, reminiscent of the early days of Lost Relics.
When arrows were introduced, many players found it hard to enjoy their bows due to high prices. Some players left in disgust. Quivers were a step forward, and after some balancing, players started using bows again. But we believe it’s time to take the next step.
With this update, we’re removing quivers and rune pouches entirely, for both bows and staves. Why? Because we want players focused on playing, not worrying about their quiver breaking or disappearing on death. This is also part of a broader plan that will gradually unfold.
We know some of you have been stockpiling quivers and pouches like doomsday preppers. But the time has come. These items served their purpose, and now we’re cleaning house. Rather than spending time issuing refunds for thousands of unused items, we’re prioritizing progress over paperwork.
This shift allows us to focus on building better systems and content, instead of maintaining outdated mechanics. We understand it might sting a little, but think of it like clearing out that drawer full of tangled mystery cables. It’s time to let it go.
We compared quiver prices to food costs that restore energy, and we evaluated how players might update their artifact builds. Based on that, we’ve introduced a new energy requirement for firing bows and staves.
No more ammo. Just you, your weapon, and a healthy energy bar. Let’s go!
And if you’ve played at any point in the last four months and are level 10 or higher, you’ve been airdropped a new blockchain painting titled Out Of Ammo to hang on the wall of your house.
The game has undergone major development since launch. Over time, mechanics have evolved due to blockchain limitations, transaction fees, and other constraints. Virtual artifacts were one such adaptation that helped us navigate unexpected challenges.
In earlier events, we made virtual artifacts more powerful than blockchain ones, because they could be lost on death. Despite being non-blockchain, we wanted them to be appealing. But players avoided them anyway, so we added virtual protection to compensate. Even with that, they remained stronger than intended.
Now that players are earning solid rewards through the Valor Expedition and chasing high-tier goals, we took a moment to clean up some of those legacy mechanics. With this update, Lost Relics will no longer support virtual artifacts. Let’s break down what’s changing.
These will be converted into blockchain artifacts. The conversion rate is 10 to 1, meaning for every 10 virtuals, you will receive one blockchain artifact.
Note: If you had fewer than 10, you’ll still receive one. For example: if you had 1, 3, or 9, you get 1. If you had 10, you get 2. If you had 20, you get 3, and so on.
These are converted at a 1 to 1 ratio. Every virtual artifact is now a blockchain one.
Some items were too powerful to convert directly. These require a new token plus the item itself to complete the conversion. The original virtual artifact is then revoked, and a new blockchain version is granted:
Some artifacts have been tossed into a rift to Unknown lands, due to balance and market conditions. These include:
Owners of these items will receive the following items instead:
We’ve rebalanced many artifacts. Blockchain items should be stronger than virtual ones, so we’ve applied buffs where appropriate. Not all received buffs, some were reduced in power, especially older event items that had been over-tuned to make virtuals more appealing.
Here are a few specific changes:
These are now blockchain items. Their bonus XP effect has increased from 15 percent to 20 percent, but their rarity has dropped from Epic to Uncommon to make them more accessible to new players. Their supply is capped at 5000 each, so gather while you can.
Three artifacts require upgrades before becoming blockchain versions. Here's how to upgrade:
To ensure fair distribution and better game balance, Nature’s Cores have been removed from general loot drops, and they once again only drop from Node Monsters while gathering nodes.
Frostfall Siege and Frostfall Supremacy are now the exclusive sources for Immutable Shards. This guarantees each game mode has its own set of unique rewards. Happy hunting!
The raffle rewards have been refreshed, and let’s just say, it’s now an Arcane Fragment bonanza!
More fragments, and more reasons to throw your name into the draw. Good luck!
Tooltips across Lost Relics have received a fresh new look. We’ve updated the style to improve clarity, consistency, and readability, whether you’re hovering over items, monsters, or otherwise.
Expect a cleaner presentation that’s easier on the eyes and more informative at a glance.
You can now open multiple containers at once directly from your stash. No more clicking them one by one in your inventory!
Just select a container, choose how many you want to open, and let the magic happen. There’s a cap of 100 at a time, just enough to keep things efficient without accidentally setting the servers on fire.
Prefer the old-school method? You can still open containers one at a time by moving them into your inventory and clicking them individually, just like before.
We’ve reduced the cost of certain Talents. As a result, all existing Valor Orb allocations have been reset.
The next time you log in, you’ll be able to reassign your Valor Orbs however you choose.
Want to try a new build or correct a mistake? You now get one free reset each month. Additional resets will be available for a small fee.
This perk has been benched for the current Expedition. We like to keep things fresh, and for now, Victor’s Glory has been temporarily removed.
It may return in the future, either in its original form or as something completely new. Stay tuned!
Players already spend valuable Arcane Fragments to acquire contracts, so we’ve reduced the cost to reroll any contract that doesn’t suit your playstyle.
Members Orbs have been available for some time, and we’ve noticed that new players are often confused by the difference between Power Pendants and Members Orbs. To simplify things, and because it's been months since the introduction of Orbs, we’ve made the decision to remove Power Pendants entirely.
If you still have Power Pendants, you’ll be credited with Luneri at the highest exchange rate. This rate is based on the cost of a 30-day Members Orb, meaning you will receive 60 Luneri for every day the Power Pendant would have granted you.
30 day and 90 day Power Pendants will simply be swapped for the appropriate Members Orbs.
The conversion process will happen a few days after the update is live.
The cost to use the Saving Grace Fountain has been reduced to 1,000 Gold Coins.
This fountain is not intended to replace your consumables. It’s exactly what the name suggests, a backup option for those desperate moments when you’ve run out of healing items and need a final lifeline.
We’ve also added a hold-to-activate feature. Some players were triggering the fountain accidentally and unintentionally donating a pile of Gold Coins. You’ll now need to hold the interaction key for a few seconds to activate it, helping avoid any unwanted generosity.
We want to thank you again for all the support and suggestions during the first Expedition. We read every message and try to implement what aligns with the game’s vision.
We know that some gaps still exist. The current state of Mining, Woodcutting, Forging, and Engineering could be improved, and removing quivers and pouches made certain things feel worse. We’re also aware that many players prefer Mythical maps over Transcendent maps. While we’ve made a few changes, we ran out of time to adjust everything the way we had hoped.
Descending Nightmares, especially the deeper levels, still need extra incentive. Containers like Gorgondonna Nests could use a boost too. (And don’t worry, if we ever change their contents, you’ll have to open your current ones first, so no need to hoard them.) We also see the need to create more sinks for Blockchain weapons and artifacts to help them match the size of the playerbase, and we want to improve the Emporium with better trade history and transparency.
There’s so much more we’d love to do, co-op play, pet systems, weapon upgrading, and better uses for Primeforge Shards. These are changes we want just as much as you do. Our goal remains the same: to deliver a deep and immersive game experience.
You’ve seen how much work has gone into the game over the past few years. We’ve built a circular blockchain economy, improved game balance, added new game modes, created systems for artifact upgrading and Valor Expeditions, and much more. We’ll keep working and updating you as things evolve. But we’re careful not to overshare too early, and here’s why:
When information is shared before an update, players act on expectations. Things may still be in development, not finalized, or subject to change. That early info can be misunderstood or lead to false assumptions.
When changes are experienced after an update, players react to real, confirmed systems. Everyone sees the same thing at the same time, which leads to better understanding and more accurate feedback.
There are many other changes that weren’t listed here. Some are in the release notes, and others are already in-game waiting for you to discover.
Enough talking. Let’s get back to business.
Happy looting, all!
