Valor Expeditions

We've overhauled our event and bounty systems to introduce a thrilling new challenge: Valor Expeditions!

The first Valor Expedition, Emberfall, is here, bringing new challenges, epic rewards, and fierce battles.

Valor Expeditions run for 17 weeks, followed by a short break before the next one begins. That means there’s always something to grind for!

How to Participate

To join an expedition, you’ll need to activate an Expedition Pass, available in two ways:

  • 10 Royal Sapphires (You already have these if you've ever made a purchase in our shop. If not, making a purchase now will grant them for free)
  • 500,000 Gold Coins from Orin Thalios in town.

Once you've acquired an Expedition Pass, be sure to activate it to gain access to the Valor Expedition!

An Expedition Pass will activate your ability to earn rewards in the current Valor Expedition. It will expire when the Valor Expedition is over, and you'll need a new Expedition Pass for the next Expedition.

Note: As announced in Discord for some time now, Bounty Bucks have disintegrated, and Beast Bounties and Bounty Chests have all been converted into Bone Dust. The Bounty system has now been fully retired.

Valor Contracts

Once you have activated your Expedition Pass, visit Jadian Valorforge at Sword & Stein Tavern in Talmuth. Each week, he sells up to 30 Valor Contracts (10 per tier: Bronze, Silver, and Gold). These can be purchased using Arcane Fragments or Flame Crystals (more details below).

Activating a Valor Contract grants you an appropriate randomized challenge. Upon completion, you’ll earn an appropriate Emberfall Chest.

Note: Challenge variety is limited at launch but will be expanded in an upcoming patch.

What's Inside an Emberfall Chest?

Opening these chests can grant up to three rewards: (You can see all possible items that can drop, in the tooltip)

  • Valor XP – Guaranteed
  • Virtual Reward – Chance
  • Collectible Reward – Chance

Note: After acquiring 30 Valor Contracts in a week, you must wait until the next week for more. A catch-up system is available too, which is detailed below.


Guaranteed Rewards

Valor XP

One of the rewards you'll receive upon opening an Emberfall Chest, is Valor XP:

  • Bronze Chest: 50 XP
  • Silver Chest: 100 XP
  • Gold Chest: 200 XP

Valor XP unlocks Expedition Levels, granting guaranteed rewards such as titles, cosmetics, virtual items, and collectibles.

Some rewards have randomized elements. For example, reaching Level 10 might grant either a Collectible Two-Handed Axe or a Collectible Two-Handed Sword.

Your Valor Expedition Level will reset back to 1 at the end of a Valor Expedition.

You can view the full rewards list on the new Valor Expedition window. This is available from the links on the right side of the screen while in-game.

Valor Expedition Rewards will only be available during the event, this is your only chance to secure these items! If you miss out, you might be lucky finding a player who might sell them to you!

Valor Triads

Certain rewards include Valor Triads, which can be collected or sold. These can be turned in to Orin Thalios for additional prizes.

Some players might find it better to sell their Valor Triads to other players, earning themselves a tidy income. Others who are after the reward items will want to buy Valor Triads from other players in order to claim rewards themselves!

Note: Unlike other event items, Valor Triads do not expire. However, past Expedition rewards will not return—saving them for a later Expedition carries risk because you don't know what items will be available!

Talents

Each Expedition Level you achieve, grants Valor Orbs. These can be allocated in a unique talent system to unlock various upgrades. Once you've obtained 68 of these, they'll stop being granted to you.

Since you are limited to 68 Valor Orbs total, you need to allocate them wisely as you'll never be able to allocate them to all Talents!

Your Talents won't reset at the end of the Expedition. They'll remain once you've achieved them.

Note: The ability to wipe and start over or reassign will be introduced in a future patch.

Arcane Fragments

To streamline the collectible economy, we have converted all non-utility collectibles into Arcane Fragments.

These fragments come in four tiers: Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary and can be found in containers, game modes, and gathering.

Many exchanges have been simplified as well. For example, Luna Wolfblood and Nyx Emberstorm have now stopped demanding whiskey—you can now trade Arcane Fragments for keys to Descending Nightmares and Frostfall Siege.

Flame Crystals

Not everyone will have luck on their side when searching for Arcane Fragments to use for acquiring Valor Contracts.

Fear not! Every time you embark on an adventure or enter a game mode, you earn Waygate Orbs. Collect 150 orbs and you'll be able to initiate a Level 31 or Level 61 Valor Trial at the Waygate in Talmuth.

Successfully completing a Valor Trial rewards you with Flame Crystals, which can be exchanged for Valor Contracts.

Your unused Flame Crystals will disintegrate at the end of a Valor Expedition.


Valor Trial

In Talmuth you'll now find a Waygate, which activates when you have found enough Waygate Orbs. This waygate will allow you to start your Valor Trial.

In a Valor Trial, you’ll face off against a Colossus—a powerful boss-like enemy. These foes are tougher than Guardians, requiring a well-prepared loadout, consumables, and a solid strategy. These encounters are designed to be challenging until you learn the mechanics.

Some players may need to acquire better equipment to help them on their Trial, or make use of various buffs and consumables.

The Trials are optional, as you can use Arcane Fragments to obtain Valor Contracts, instead of the Flame Crystals, but you will be missing out on the chance of additional valuable loot.

Note: If the Level 61 Valor Trial proves too difficult, you can attempt the Level 31 Trial for fewer rewards. Dying in a trial results in losing your virtual equipment, but your Waygate Orbs remain intact, allowing you to retry without refarming them. Waygate Orbs are only consumed when you successfully complete the Trial. Additionally, the location that's used for the Trial is very much just placeholder and will be improved soon.


Life Happens

We understand that real life takes priority, and not everyone can participate in the Valor Expedition every week. That’s why we’ve introduced a built-in catch-up system when purchasing Contracts.

Each week, 30 contracts (10 per tier) are available from Jadian Valorforge. If you miss a week, your available contracts will roll over, giving you 60 contracts the following week.

For example:

  • If you start at Week 4, you will have 120 contracts available (40 per tier).
  • If you miss Week 12 and return at Week 13, the contracts you missed will still be available for purchase.

Your unused Valor Contracts will disintegrate at the end of a Valor Expedition.

We’re replacing Power Pendants with Members Orbs, available in four durations:

  • 1-month Membership
  • 3-month Membership
  • 6-month Membership
  • 12-month Membership

Luneri Packs

We’ve adjusted pricing and removed volume discounts on Luneri to simplify purchases and allow players to better determine item pricing. Instead, we’re introducing unique satchels with exclusive titles and game mode keys.

This means that you can purchase membership for as little as $15 per month if you purchase the 12-month Members Orb!

Note: Existing Power Pendants can still be used or traded but will no longer be available in the shop. All membership items stack their time remaining, so you can activate multiple at once to simply extend your membership time.


Shop Updates

To restore the exclusivity of shop items, we’re introducing a new system:

  • Time-Limited Availability: Many existing skins, pets, and morphs now have a timer. Once expired, unsold items are melted/burnt, increasing the rarity of the remaining items.
  • Trading Opportunities: Once removed from the shop, these items can only be obtained through player-to-player trading on the Royal Emporium.

Future shop releases will follow this system where appropriate, enhancing item value and excitement for collectors. Happy collecting!


Valdrath Highlands

For high-level gatherers and crafters, we’ve introduced Valdrath Highlands as a new exclusive adventure.

Players with a gathering or production level of 280+ and an active membership receive 1 Valdrath Highland Token daily, stacking up to a maximum of 10. Those with level 400+ production receive an additional token daily.

These non-tradable tokens grant access to Valdrath Highlands, where players can discover unique loot, including titles and parts of the mythical artifact: Cartographer's Compass.

We've forgotten its exact location in Lunaria, but we're confident that seasoned adventurers can uncover it!

We’ve introduced an exciting new game mode in Talmuth designed for both new and veteran players. Ever wanted to take on a single Guardian? Now's your chance!

Updated Reward Structures

With the adjustments to Frostfall Siege and Descending Nightmares, we've revamped their reward structures to make progression more rewarding and flexible.

Now, instead of waiting an entire week for your next reward, you can continue farming by completing specific objectives:

  • Complete 10 Descending Nightmares (Level 4+) to earn a Nightmare Vault.
  • Complete 10 Frostfall Siege or 8 Frostfall Supremacy to earn a Frostfall Vault and a Frostfall Orb.

Note: The weekly reset and reward structure for Terror Descent and Echoes of Time will remain unchanged.


Ascension Rewards

We’ve reworked the rewards system for those who have Ascended into greatness. We've moved some of the rewards into Champion Rewards and Talents, and changed it so that players with an active membership will now receive weekly rewards based on their Ascension level.

You can now view your current and upcoming rewards anytime by clicking the Ascension Rewards button in the Character Window.

Note: Weekly rewards do not stack. When you ascend, your new weekly reward replaces the previous one.


Victor's Glory

Some of our newest content presents truly formidable challenges. To reward those who overcome them, we’re introducing Victor's Glory!

After completing Frostfall Siege, Frostfall Supremacy, Descending Nightmares, or a Valor Contract, you’ll receive a 15-minute buff that grants one of five powerful effects. Which one will you get?

Note: Victor’s Glory buffs do not stack. When a new one is applied, it will replace your current Victor's Glory buff.


Drop Tables and Fortune Vaults

Finding collectible chests with a slim chance of containing a Mythical or Transcendent item is now a thing of the past. Introducing Fortune Vaults—a guaranteed way to secure top-tier collectibles.

  • Mythical Fortune Vault – Guarantees a Mythical collectible.
  • Transcendent Fortune Vault – Guarantees a Transcendent collectible.

Additionally, we've reworked item drop tables:

  • Specific items now drop from dedicated containers.
  • Lower rarity drops have been removed from higher-tier adventures.

Nature's Core and Skillcapes

Tomes of Gathering (and Greater Tomes of Gathering) for fishing, scavenging, mining, and woodcutting have been removed from loot drops.

Instead, players will now find Nature’s Core, which can be exchanged for the tome of their choice.

We’ve also introduced Skillcapes for those who have maxed out their combat or gathering levels. If you have the required Nature’s Cores or Malignant Cores, you can claim these exclusive capes as a symbol of mastery.

Gathering Node Adjustments

We’ve noticed an oversupply of certain resources, with players often avoiding the more challenging adventures. To better balance the in-game economy and encourage players to take on greater challenges, we are implementing adjustments to gathering nodes within adventures.

Node Adjustments

Common adventures will now feature 10 gathering nodes, with each higher adventure rarity gradually increasing the number of nodes. Transcendent adventures will offer the most, with up to 28 gathering nodes available.

Additional Changes

  • Node Monster spawn rates have been adjusted to reflect these changes.
  • Loot tables and drop rates have been fine-tuned to ensure rewards remain meaningful.

We encourage you to adapt and explore these new mechanics. Your feedback is invaluable as we continue refining the game’s economy.

Note: A future patch will introduce a unique recycling mechanic to help manage surplus production.

While a Valor Expedition is active, Founder's Token holders will now receive 18 Waygate Orbs every day.

To qualify, you must be a member and have an active Expedition Pass. If you meet these conditions, the orbs will be automatically credited to your account daily.
