Through fractured stones, the rift does breathe,
Fragments of power in shadows seethe.
A blue-hued sack, with secrets deep,
In night’s descent, the ancients sleep.
Leviathan whispers in waters below,
Artifacts shift as fortunes flow
We would like to honor you for your participation and outstanding community work in constructing the rift. Travel to Inverdhen has once again been sped up thanks to you! While access through your home rift still surpasses the walking route, those who don't own a house and all Talmuthian citizens who enjoy visiting their relatives in Inverdhen send you a huge thank you!
As mentioned, we’ve reworked the Shattered Gems. Jewelry can still be disintegrated, so don’t worry! However, it will now turn into Arcane Fragments, which are collectible items.
These Arcane Fragments can be used to purchase premium armors, but they also have other uses. You can now spend them on Descending Nightmare Keys, Frostfall Siege Keys, and to unlock Inverdhen as an alternative option for players who don’t have an Aetherwood.
To ensure everyone can access them, the Extractor has been moved to Talmuth, next to the Forging Furnace.
Instead of finding a piece of jewelry in the end chest, we’ve placed all the jewelry into a Void Satchel. On top of that, we’ve added three existing uncommon collectibles that can be used to obtain Arcane Fragments: Ancient Skull of the Oskk, Evergreen Onyx, and Misty Lapis.
Do you dare to open it to see if you can find an epic piece of jewelry that rewards you with even more Arcane Fragments? Or will you play it safe and simply sell the Void Satchel? Since adventures drop a lot of collectible items from gathering nodes, you won’t find the Void Satchel there. You’ll have to venture into Terror Descent, Descending Nightmares, or Frostfall Siege to discover it.
Since the introduction of this relic, two parts were only obtainable from the Wheel of Wonder. While this gives everyone a fair chance, it also feels somewhat punishing to players who have spent a lot of time leveling up their gathering skills. That’s why we’ve decided to stop dropping it from the Wheel of Wonder.
You’ll now find the Shadowed Leviathan Scale in the Deepsea Coffer, meaning 3 out of the 4 pieces will come from these deepsea treasures! However, the final piece will only be obtainable from Fisherking Nautica for gold.
We’ve selected three artifacts that can be upgraded: Moonlit Valor, Titan Takedown, and Abyssal Dominator. Here’s how it works:
Player A wants to upgrade their Moonlit Valor. To do this, they need three of them. They go to Orin Thalios and hand them in, but they don’t yet know what they will receive in return. Most likely, they will get an Empowered Moonlit Valor, which is in the same tier (legendary) but with better stats. However, there is also a 10% chance of receiving a Supreme Moonlit Valor, a higher tier (mythical) with even better stats than the Empowered version.
What happens to the three Moonlit Valors handed in? Two are removed from circulation, making the base version rarer. The third is returned to the loot pool, creating a limited circulation effect for artifacts. A similar process happens with the Titan Takedown.
The Abyssal Dominator only requires two to hand in. Here, players can roll for an Empowered version (mythical) and have the chance to roll a Supreme version (transcendent tier).
Since two are handed in, both are removed from circulation, and none are returned to the loot pool.
We are excited to see how players respond to this mechanic! If it’s well-received, we may expand this option to more artifacts, though nothing is guaranteed.
Note: there is a limited number of exchanges to ensure that the supply of Supreme versions remains low.
The final supply counts of the Empowered and Supreme versions will be up to chance!
