In realms where magic whispers loud,
Where shadows weave a mystic shroud,
A spell is cast, the night awakes,
As heroes face what darkness makes.
Through Arcane Depths and Sorcery’s call,
They venture forth, defying all,
Descending Nightmares, terror’s keep,
In haunted dreams, where shadows creep.
With wands of power, staves of light,
They blaze a path through endless night,
In Mystic Maelstrom’s fierce embrace,
They conquer fears, their fate they trace.
For in this world of dreams and dread,
Where ancient magics still are spread,
The brave will rise, the strong will fight,
And turn the dark into the light.
We’re excited to announce a massive update that introduces powerful magic weapons, thrilling new game modes, and a plethora of improvements and bug fixes. Prepare yourself for an adventure like never before as you delve into the Mystic Maelstrom and test your mettle against formidable foes.
New Shop Cosmetics
We are excited to unveil new cosmetics available in the shop. Players can now adorn their characters with the new outfits: Elara Stormrider and Aldric Stormwarden. Additionally, a new pet called Stormfire has been introduced, offering a loyal and fierce companion to accompany you on your adventures.
Introduction of Magic Weapons
Players can discover and wield new magic weapons, adding a layer of strategy and excitement to their adventures. To utilize these weapons, players will need Rune Pouches, which can be crafted through Alchemy. These pouches provide the ability to cast powerful projectiles, unleashing devastating attacks with splash damage.
There are no virtual magic weapons though, so you’ll need to scour the depths of Terror Descent and Descending Nightmares to find them!
Armor Adjustments
In this update, several armors have undergone changes to their rarities, effects and assembly requirements. These adjustments are aimed at balancing the gameplay, requirements, and enhancing the strategic options available to players. The updated armors and their new attributes are as follows:
- Moonjackal Armor: This armor has been downgraded from Legendary to Epic. It now provides a +5% boost to Ranged and Magic attack speed.
- Guardian Armor: Retaining its Legendary status, Guardian Armor now provides a boosted Defense value of 113.
- Razorwind Armor: Upgraded from Legendary to Mythical, Razorwind Armor now grants a +5% boost to Ranged and Magic attack damage.
- Olkepthian Armor: This armor has seen a substantial upgrade from Legendary to Transcendent. It now has a 5% chance to release a damaging blast of 2030 when the wearer takes damage.
These changes are designed to offer a more dynamic and rewarding experience, encouraging players to explore different gear combinations and strategies.
Descending Nightmares: A New Challenge Awaits
Descending Nightmares is a brand new game mode designed to challenge even the most seasoned adventurers.
In this mode, players will face increasingly difficult levels, each filled with dangerous traps and powerful enemies. Descending Nightmares (and Terror Descent) are now the exclusive sources for Spellbinding Powder, Hides, Runes, and most importantly, Magic Weapons.
Additionally, there is a weekly Nightmare Vault available only in Descending Nightmares, that offers unique rewards to those who can conquer the mode.
Terror Descent: A Free Version for All
We are excited to introduce Terror Descent, a free version of the Descending Nightmares mode.
This mode allows all players, including those who prefer a free-to-play experience, to enjoy the thrill of descending through challenging levels.
Terror Descent is an excellent way for players to earn character experience quickly. This allows players who prefer combat over gathering to level up faster and experience the icy town of Inverdhen (unlocked at level 40) sooner.
Descending Nightmares is however, a much more challenging and rewarding version, available only in Inverdhen.
New Immunity Potions
With the introduction of magic, we are also adding new immunity potions: Resilience Tonic and Unbinding Serum. These potions offer players temporary immunity to various effects, such as entanglement, shock and chill.
For instance, the Skulkweaver’s web effect has been adjusted to entangle players instead of slow them, and these potions can help you break free even faster.
Gilded Additions
We’ve now unlocked 2 new Gilded Set Collectibles, which are only available in the rewards store.
Gilded Aether Conduit and Gilded Oracle are now available in the Royal Exchange, accessible from the main menu.
